Jordi Alba announces his retirement from professional football
The decorated Spanish defender joined Valencia CF at the age of 18, the Club where he grew and was given the opportunity to make his LALIGA debut
Following their medical examinations on Monday, the Valencia CF squad were put through their paces in the gym of the Ciudad Deportiva on Tuesday. It was the group's first day working with fitness coach Juan Solla in preparation for the 2020/21 season, in the wee that the players return from a short summer break.
Great care was taken to ensure that LaLiga and club COVID-19 protocol was followed to the letter, to guarantee the highest degree of safety at the training facilities.
The players worked intensely in the first of two sessions to be held on Tuesday, with coach Javi Gracia vigilating their exercises and taking the opportunity to further get to know the squad that he will be coaching in the upcoming season.
